Hi all
Its as above really, its the grandmothers car, was fine before she had a little smash in it (through a wall, front end smash!). All repaired to a high standard as far as I can see, very impressed with the body work.
But, now when you put it in R, D, 3, 2, 1 and try and pull off, the car really lurches forward or backwards, really noticable, really uncomfortable. What could be the cause of this?
Thanks

Could I check that myself? Jack the car up and have a look under? I'm gunna use the car next week to give it a run, see if anything changes. Also need to get a new reversing sensor for it etc.

Right, had a little go in it last night.
It SEEMS to me, when you put it in drive, it doesnt engauge the gear. When you put your foot on the throttle, it drops it in first and moves again,, making it lurch. Although its stil there, after the first pull off after a gear change, its less noticeable.
Make any difference?

Box must have taken a knock or something.
They should engage the gear when stationary and not lurch when setting off.

Thats exactly what I thought, I'm taking it back to the repairer to get them to put it right this week.
