Hi, I am going to put my 2.0l calipers on tomorrow, read through the guide and feel confident, except for one part-
How do I change the brake hoses over?
The back of my half painted calipers looks like this:
So how do I get this bit of brake hose off? as pulling it doesnt seem to do much good. lol
Also, what would be the best way of cleaning these brake disks up?:
Thanks for any help guys. Much appreciated

You just have to undo the bolt that goes through the fitting on the end of the brake pipe, you might want to clean it up a bit firrst though because you dont want rust and crap getting in the brake fluid.
Dont worry about cleaning the discs, they will be shiney after 5 minutes of driving

You'll be using the existing brake lines so those ones attached to your half painted calipers will be surplus to requirements.
And as said, don't worry about the disk surface....that will sort itself out.

Oh,
One other thing...don't lose the copper washers!!
You'll be leaking all over the shop otherwise

yeah, Ive got the carriers cooki, I think anyway. lol. Theres a whole C shape unit there, so guessing thats the carrier as well, as it curves over the disk, and looks like a big version of whats on the car.
Ok, leaking everywhere isnt much fun. lol.
Cheers again notmycorsa

started to fit today- got my wheel off, and took the 1.4 caliper off, went to take the carrier off - didnt have a 10mm hex key.
Not happy.
So had to put everything back together, go out and get one, just come back now, and its absolutely hammering down.
And red calipers still arent quite dry.
At least the idea was there. lol.
I got a brake bleeding set to help me, some brake fluid, copper grease, new pads, disks, calipers, carriers and all associated tools.
Sound like im missing anything? Cos if im half way through and have to put it all back together again, I wont be happy. lol
rant over
