i know they fit but will there be any loss in power? if so what and how?

edit- will there be any loss in power between putting on a 1.6 head or a 1.4 head? is it just the ports that are different and if so can I attack them with a dremel?

ports are different and depending which you are using cams are different.

But yes it will fit and yes you could port it out

inlet and exhaust ports? using piper cams so that aint a problem. nice and easy job then

Cams are the same IIRC but if your not using them dont worry anyway. Fairly sure X14 and X16 heads are the same but C16 has different sized ports. Its a long time since I messed with these so dont take it as gospel, can have a look on EPC tomorrow if you like
