Right, i have decided to go for an immaculate stripped interior.
Those of you that are following my project thread would know what its at now. A state tbh.
Im going to be sending it for a inside shell re-spray and the GSI kit sprayed and fitted in the future so to save some cash i was thinking of doing a few bits myself.
Would it be good for the spray bloke if i stripped the paint from the whole inside shell leaving bare metal? Then i could fill the dents that i want gone too.
So basically, would it save me money if i stripped the whole inside shell to bare metal?
Thanks, Dan

I think a smoothed interior would look the bollocks.

Yeah i would smoothe the lot but i want to avoid adding any weight tbh. I have a fibreglass boot on the way so i guess that would compensate for any filler. there will be some smoothing in the rear but keeping it minimal.
If you look in fast-car this month theres a red fiesta and it comments "the best looking strip job since i went to spearming hippo" so im aiming to go one step better looking but still include a cage / spare wheel or battery in wheel well.
Anyway can anyone answer my question above?

have painted mine 3 times now last time i even did it properly with plenty of prep and primer applied with a gun and heaters left inside to 'bake' it
turned out not to bad
havnt got any current pic but those who seen it at pvs will remeber how bad it was in footwells and a few other places.
moral is dont spend to much as you will need to touch it up now and then

Looks good. I like your dash too thats what i will be going for!
So do you think its worth me paint stripping the inside down to bare metal, then primer a few good coats and then send it into bodyshop for colour?

as for dash i cut my down used card and a bit of fibre glass then flocked it although it could do with being tidied up again.
and id just go to the guy at the bodyshop and talk to them, no need to take it all the way back to metal anyway really better of spending your time removing everything

Yeah, if i can get his number / find his workshop i will go see him talk to him. Its gonna be a while yet as i will need engine-bay doing too. I have always fancied my hand at bodywork to a novice level so may give it a try. Anyone reccomend good place to get the gear i will need? Thx
