wonderin if anybody can help cos im at a loss, car started popping and bangin and misfiring until i stopped at which point it cut out.

it will now start with a bit of throttle but revs erratically then dies down (popping and misfiring etc). it also revs irrespective of throttle position, for example if i am holding the throttle at about 3000rpm it will go up past it then back down to nearly stalling.

i have changed the following:
ht leads and coil (checked seems ok)
airflow sensor
crank sensor

does anyone have any ideas or suggestions,any help will be much appreciated

mine was doing exactly the same.i changed all the sensors etc.then found out it was the fuel pump.

ye thought bout that aswel. think im goin to try new icv first if that fails then have a look at fuel pump

ICV maybe?, I think I have a used one here that was fine when i took if of to do a TB conversion drop me a message if your interested and ill sort you a price

also try a new CTS there pretty cheap from a motor factors

tried them both today m8 dint make any difference guna try fuel pump next cant fink of anything else

could be a faulty afm.mine done the same thing when it packed up.

dus it stall if u put ur foot hard on the throttle?

no it revs up and kind of clears but then revs cum rite back down agen then starts popping agen as if its not running on all cylinders

try the bleed nipple on the fuel rail

check if your throttle body pipe is on correctly my mates car used to do it just start it up and it wud go straight to the limiter!! pulling in air from the gap

checked everything done fuel pump and fuel filter and fuel rail and cold start sensor today and its stil the same. i have now tried everything i can think of

think you now need a garage but tell them everything you've done lol so you dont get stung
