coming from alternator, side of engine area, changed alternator so it isnt that. heard it can be the aircon but i doubt it. also been told it was the bolts under the rocker cover, it wasnt.
any idea, its doing my head in and makes my car soun like its broke

I had a loud rattle between those revs on my C14SE, bottom end went a few months later

bearings in the tensioners gone or bottom end going mate get it checked out

does it happen when you rev up, or when the revs drop??

take alternator belt off and see if it stops

does it both ways, the car had a top end rebuild at 73k and now its sitting on 79k.
the car runs ok, doesnt miss a beat apart from the noise and it doesnt effect performance.

hope to feck its the tensioner, will drop it into vauxhall at somepoint...

id get it cheked soon if it is the cambelt tensioner and it falls apart that could see the end of your new top end
