i have an x14xe which is meant to run an f13/5 close ratio,(which is knackered and needs replacing), and i'm wondering what difference putting an f15/5 cr in would make? i was told by vaux that putting an f13/5 wide ratio in would mean the engine and 'box not synching correctly resulting in lots of grinding and increased engine stress....i've checked the ratio differences and the f15 is only slightly diff to mine in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, (the higher the gear the less of a difference), so i want to know if i will have any problems with it, and if there will be a noticeable perormance increase??!!

WTF how will changing a complete box make it crunch more?
TBH your not going to see any massive gains from it, if any at all.

i've no idea, i only have a vague understanding of ratio, etc!!
so it would be fine to run an f15? it wouldn't ruin the engine or make it run at stupidly high rev's or anything?

ps. does anyone know if the clutch kit i bought for the f13 will fit the f15? i don't fancy buying another coz it's only done 1mile if that!!!
