As title really, gear stick looks way out, could it just need adjusting? Or the linkage worn?
Would a short shift sort it?

i has something similar with mine, the casing had come loose so i couldn't select any gears lol
it could just be that

i don't know what the casing is called, but the problem with mine was the off-white plastic bit under the plastic trim which was loose.
it made the gearstick all wobbly. had to force it into gear. the more loose it is, the more gears you lose lol
your problem could be something completely different, but checking that everything is tight is always a good starting point
