my corsa gsi seems to miss at different points through the rev. range as if it is flooding, in the last week or so , also now and again the car will start fine but some times takes like 20 mins to get started idle is up and down and stalls now and again when u slow down to stop and smells strongly of fuel eml goes off but come on soon as the car starts to play up the eml light is back on i can drive normal with half throttle but soon as i try to put my foot down the car splutters and pops and bangs and stinks of neat fuel , cars only jus been rebuilt 20,000 miles ago so im hopeing it will not be major ,

any ideas?

fuel leak somewhere or air leak by sounds of it, check induction hose for splits. car could be over fueling to compensate for extra air. also try cleaning out iscv, throttle body and afm out.

Dis-engage the diagnostics plug from its socket.
This is positioned at the rear of the engine bay on the passengers side on cavalier/calibra’s, on the astra3 it’s in the fusebox, and on vectra’s around the handbrake and omega on the panel by the fusebox.

It has 10 pins.
Short pins A & B to read the engine ecu codes. Brown & Brown/yellow
16 pin connectors, On the Vectra / Omega short pins 4 & 6

Start the engine, management warning light will start to flash as follows.

The code 12 is first flashed three times, this is a marker.
If a code is stored it is then flashed three times.
The code 12 is then flashed three times, this is a separator.
If a 2nd code is stored it is then flashed three times or the first code is repeated.
The code 12 is then flashed three times, this is a separator.
etc

Once all codes have been displayed then stop engine and remove wire.

To clear codes you should disconnect the battery for a minimum of
10 minutes and then re-connect. This also has the effect of resetting
the ECU parameters to their defaults and forces the adaptive learning
circuits to start again. Within approx. 200 miles the ECU will have
adapted.

not sure where they are in corsa's or how many pins they have but use a paperclip to short the pins out.

someone must have done this on their corsa?
