looking at 1.8 small blocks.
it seems all big blocks have the oil filler in the centre at the rear.
and small blocks are too the left and at the front??
is this right??

Lookin at them engines yes your correct in what you say. x18xe has oil cap in the centre but its not called a big block for that reason

yeah sorry werent calling it a big block for that lol just trying to figure out easy ways of idenifyinh them.
e.g oil filter is gear box end on small blocks
