just bought a sony xplod amp off my mate, its got a twisty nob thats for - 50Hz to 300Hz - Low Pass Filter.
whats this?
does it filter out some of the 'not so low(bassy)' input.
also another twisty nob is for level 0.3V - 6.0V, is this output volts? what should i set it at?
sorry if i sound thick, just a bit of a noob when it comes to audio.

low pass filters filter out the highs not lows so this would be used if your running a sub. a high pass filter is for cutting out lows if you are running speakers, and the other is the gain, set this as high as you can with out the speaker/sub distorting
(not full explanation of gain but will get you started)
