Quick Question!!
Lets say ive got 2 dual 4 ohm subs wired in parallel to show 1 ohm load to my amp.
If my monoblock amp is rated at lets say 1000rms at 1 ohm does that mean i cud put the whole 1000rms into each sub or wud it b shared between them (500rms each)?
I always thought u cud giv the full amount to each sub but plz some1 correct me if im wrong!
Thanx, Dan

i was under the impression that if you did it like that both subs would get the full load

nope, the amp would be loaded fully, but there would be 500W RMS to each sub as the current would be halved (Kirchhoff's Law)

I no u did Adi but i posted the question bfor u came on msn yesterday and explained it 2 me, lol.
Neways understand it all now, lol.
Still waitin for Ritchie to explain more wirng options than just a 1ohm or 4ohm load to the amp with 2 dual 4 ohm voicecoil subs,
Cmon Ritchie, i want 2 learn!!!!!! LOL
Want to b able to work out all the different wiring options i hav! 4 example if i add another dual 4ohm W3 to my system (hav 2 at the minute) what can i run my amp at. Think normal parallel wiring wud b something lik 0.66ohms and in series about 2.66 ohms. (Done in my head so only rough figures). What other loads cud i show my amp?
