Could anyone show me what you have to do to the linkage for the F20?
Picture below, feel free to use sophisticated software such as paint to show me 
I'm a little unsure from some descriptions...

if its for a redtop conversion you need to make the 'u' part wider and make the connecting bar longer. it can be left and acts as a kinda short shirt

I already told you what to do 
And i thought the engine was out off a corsa? so the linkage should be modifyed already

Same here. My F28 is really tricky to get into reverse. Any advice?

Na the chap before didn't have the gearbox spacer in and that apparently made it chew through a few CV's

Well you extend both bits in the middle by 10mm, al try get a pic off mine later

How do you extend the plastic bit?
We were thinking rose joints and some kind of threaded bar?

I've done a few of these now and TBH if you can live with it VERY occasionally coming out of 5th when your slowing down towards a roundabout ect then this is the simple way

Standard bit of linkage ...^...

Bent forward linkage so it cleasr the steering rack ...^...
Like I say it's only once in a blue moon it will come out of gear, but this way is simple and quick if you don't have the skills/ time/ welding equipment ect
