Thank you, I know, need to iron out a few bugs, which is the problem, only started it yesterday afternoon from scratch so quite proud of how far I got yesterday, if you click on any of the links you see what i mean about the background.
Just can not understand why the css does not work if i remove the height bit.

TBH, a site like that, I would've done the entire thing in flash. If the text/info needs chaging, you could script it to pull that from text files or a database or something.

I got a few volunteers but I am the only one taking a wage at the moment (well for the books although I do not take anything), hoping to get state funding in the new year as well as sponsorship from some drug companies so will take a few of them on full time.

Was going to go that way and most likely will but I wanted a break before Christmas so though i script it first in html and then covert it later.

I like flash, if your an absolute whizz at it, and use it to its full potential. But I hate websites done in flash which just aren't up to that standard. Problem with flash is it either looks really crap and cheap or really amazing.
Good example of an amazing flash site in my opinion is http://www.2advanced.com

err except for people who don't have flash installed?
If accessibility is important to you - then flash shouldn't be the only option to a site.

I agree, a lot of flash sites look shit when done badly...
Also flash has it's uses. In the example site you just gave it is used well for a Sci Fi theme... but for a heart foundation site I don't really see where the merit for it's use would be - you don't want music or stupidly fancy graphics / animations whizzing about.
Flash sites often look good due to their fancy graphics everywhere - technically many can be achieved without using flash and either way - often neither are required.

There's always those people. They don't deserve to use the internet tbh.

So what happens if you are blind/partially sighted and use screen reading software to use the Internet?
