Im trying to connect but it keeps saying IP ADDRESS - Failed ??? I have a lap top with wireless connection, can someone help me get connected

You've turned on ICS on the laptop right? and changed the firewall settings on the router?

Go on google and search "Internet connection sharing for (OS you're using)".
It might work just with that activated, if not, you'll need to go on google again and search "Router firewall settings for (Router you're using)".

Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Right click the internet connection that says 'Connected' and click Properties -> Look around until you find Internet Connection Sharing and enable it
After you have done that report back
edit - give the xbox a go before you report back

I have Vista so its abit different. I have had a play around but it still wont connect

easy peasy mate! Plug your etheret cable into your xbox, then into the port on your laptop, open up your connections dialog box and highlight your wireless connection and the LAN connection using the SHIFT key then right click and bridge the connections no need to play around with router, you should be able to share the IP addy from your laptop
