redtop is now in my corsa. ive had the engine running and the car going through all the gears with the wheels spinning in the air. but today for some strange reason there is no drive, no gear will drive the wheels. plus there is also a whine from the gearbox the higher gear i go, its not loud but its a whine.
any help appreciated asap as the car needs to be done tomorrow

So you can still select the gears but no drive?
Checked shafts havent poped out slightly?

im off work tomorrow so gonna take the shafts out again and have a look. would there be no drive even if they have moved out just a little bit?

yeah. once one pops out a bit, all drive is gone. ive had it happen where i fitted a cv without the circlip thing in the end so the shaft kept popping out. took me ages to work out why.

lol. but would that cause a whining noise. well ill take them out again tomorrow and check that all the clips are on the end as they are new cv joints. cheers for the help lads
