should i have painted them with heat proof paint ?

fuel rail be ok but yeh inlet should use heat proof paint as gets proper hot

The inlet doesnt actually get that hot!
The incoming air does a good job of cooling it.

Normal paint is fine on it.

yeah becauz i felt the inlet and was just warm i done the inlet manifold and fuel rail in normal paint ready 2 just put on when i do my top end rebuild just want it rite dont want to be taking it back off to paint it again lol
