Doing a Conversion on my brothers 1.2 16v X12XE Soon.
Basically, I need a full list of what I'm going to need to do the conversion, and what I can sell from the car etc..
Its fully running, so obviously i'll sell the Engine, Box, ECU, Loom, and all the rest of it.. Is there anything else that goes with the ECU? Is the car immobilised etc etc...
What about Ancillaries? Alternator, Starter motor, That kinda thing?
Driveshafts I'll probably replace, and so i'll sell those too, But really just need to know where to start with it all - I wanna Strip it, Sell all the bits possible, and use the money to go towards paying for the XE parts.
I don't so much need a guide just yet, If at all - Just a list of parts I'm going to need or are recommended - Like I know i need the ARB Lowering Blocks, which I have, but do i need to Upgrade the ARB as its only a 1.2 16v job (SXi) if it makes any odds...
Just a little input from others would be helpful!
P.S - Is it true that If i use a Pre 1992 Engine, and register it properly to the car, that i Don't need to have a Catalytic Converter, Meaning i can sell mine too? - I don't wanna sell it if i'm likely to need it?
What about Exhaust Centre sections and so on too?
