what oil would you use on a 1.4 16v which has done 84 000miles.

i've changed it to fully synthetic GTX magnetic 10 40 rating. does that seem right, just want to be double sure cause i swear my engine seems noisier than usual.

should be ok for the amount of miles you have on the car

just keep an eye on the level over the next lock of months, if it seems to be disappearing at a rapid rate of knots then just get a thicker viscosity next time, say 15w-40

cheers gambit. i thinks ok now, i've done a few lond trips and it seems to have quitened down alot.

the car has done motorway miles, well mix of motorway and A roads for its life
