I have a new set of shocks and springs on the way, my question is do you need spring compressors to put the springs on the front, or can you just stick the nut on the top tight or something?

Easy enough question but need to know whether to find somewhere that can put the springs on or not before PVS.

Cheers

They're Apex Sport shocks and Apex 60mm springs

Thought I'd probably need a garage to do it for 60mm springs but thought it doesn't hurt to ask

Shouldn't make much difference on the make I'd have thought mate, unless they're adjustable stiffness which your ones won't be.

isn't the reason you use compression clamps to stop the spring boucing and taking your hand/head off, if you have a set use them...it's your safety

Yep, that's exactly why you use them. I don't have a set, that's the problem.

I thought they were really expensive but I just looked and Screwfix do a set for £14 Gonna go up tonight I reckon, they're open until 8

Thanks mate, I bought those Screwfix ones last night from the store in Witney, I'll give you a text if I get stuck

Only need to swap the top mounts over so hopefully it won't be too hard
