Author egr valve fault help

hi iv got a w reg vauxhall corsa its got the x14xe engine in and the eml light comes on straight away and is on constantly i put a diag machine on it and it comes up egr valve position what happens is every now and then when the engines understraign up hills or seting off or accelerating the car will just miss and judder about then clears itself has any one else had this problem? please help thanks lee

EGR valve is behind the inlet manifold.

You could either replace it or blank it off by making a template from an old coke can.

If you blank it off, make sure you plug it in so the EML stays off though.

which bit is it mate? is it part of the inlet manifold or near it?

Its part of the Rear Inlet Mani and is Shit to get at.
Just Blank it off though,It's a load of Shite anyhow.

cheers mate i thgought so il do it next weekend il just swap anouther bottom inlet manifold onto it and clean the egr out first isnt the bit where you blank the egr part of the throttle body to?

No Mate,Its just on the Inlet Mani.The ICV is on the TB.

You can Buy a Blanking Plate for a couple of £ On Ebay.Well worth it as it stops the Fault coming back.
