my cars stuck in 3rd gear its not the linkages fink its something inside any ideas wat it could be...?
if its unfixable in the car is it an easier option to swap the gearbox in a corsa or does the engine have to come out?

Just swap the 'box, the engine doesn't have to come out.

How do you know it's not the box?
Have you removed the linkage and can you get gears via hand at the gearbox end?
