smallblock xe's (the 1.4 and 1.6) don't have afm's they have a air temp sensor instead.
you do have a map sensor, best thing to do is check the rubber pipe coming from it for splits and general wear

Cheers mate, i dont have any pipe at momment on MAP from what i have heard it goes to second nozzle on the inlet though?

As above they have a MAP and Air temperature sensor, it uses a combination of manifold pressure, air density (calcuated from temperature) and throttle position to work out the volume of air being used by the engine.

Doesnt really matter where it goes aslong as its connected to the manifold and there are no leaks.

best get one on there asap, going to garage now gonna get loads pics of it, so hopfuly can get car working as even this new garage seems shit!

My car is overfuelling shed loads, last time i saw MAP was plugged in, but didnt have a vacumm pipe going to anywhere, since been transferred to another garage, but im yet to see what previous garage tried, im going in a min

If there is no pipe connected to it then yes that will cause a problem.
