basically my ecu is fall of water and the terminals have corroded, so ive got another ecu from the same engine code and same type vehcle plug it on and the eml light doesnt come on with the ignition on how ever if i plug the old ecu back on the eml is on and the engine will run. Would this mean the ecu i have got is faulty?
its a 2litre 8v engine btw

If the light doesn't come on at all then yes I would say it's a faulty ECU.
