If i put a cable from postive to remote cable on my amp, with a switch in the middle. Will this give me power till i get a remote cable?

just use a bit of speaker cable as your remote till you get one, ive done that before

yeah speaker cable from the remote at the back of the headunit to the remote on the amp, or am i missing something?
