As in the title, I need some ideas on how to do it, can I use the solenoid for the central locking as a boot popper?
what about the wiring, I dont want to use my wiper wiring as I always knock it, so can I just run power to the solenoid through a switch?

I used the wiper wiring and a solenoid off ebay. You can get them from Maplin too for about £8.
The reason I used the wiper wiring was so I didn't have to run more wires and I wasn't using the rear wiper.
All I did was wire a button to the wiper wiring so there's no chance of accidentally popping the boot.
