Right i have noticed over the past few days that there is a slight whurring noise from the box when im in a low gear (2nd) and when slowly apply the throttle theres a sort of grinding noise happening
When its in gear and i push the gear stick back towards me (still in second) the grinding gets a louder.......
Also when i push slightly on the clutch the noise happens too.......
Im a stumped as to what it could be......Release bearing, Gearbox oil low, bearing of some sort etc
Could anyone possibly help me out on what it could be??
Thanks and any help will be much appreciated

GSi minus gear 2 = common mate...
My GSi lost gear 2 beforei bought it... I bought a c16xe+f15 and that had nbo gear 2!
Best bet is to buy an F13 box off a 1.2 8v then you'll find out what nippy means!

there is no way of checking the level of the gearbox oil, it is just filled to the level of the bottom of the fill up hole.
To change the oil you have to drop the diff cover off the bottom of the gearbox.
