As above its an astra 1.6 8 valve estate I think x16szr its a 1998 last on the line astra f shape (mark 3)
The mot tester said to have it serviced as its been a year since it was done. Personally I cant see that making any difference.
Don't want to be spending loads on it as its just an old runaround I paid £450 for a year ago. I also noticed it failed last years M.O.T on emissions then passed the re test so maybe something is a miss with it.
Any help much appreciated!

cars need servicing every year anyways, just a must to keep it going
be suprised how much fuel you save and how much emissions change just from having it serviced

On a banger a service is a waste of money someone I know has a volvo 440 and its not had a service for 6 years and still passes m.o.t its totally fucked now though.
Will have it done and hope it passes!
