and it seems to have more of a flat spot at low revs! my only thought was is it because the ecu isnt used to the new mods like the dbilas inlet and 4 to 1, would a remap sort this?

Its just the ECU remembers settings its made for its self and if you dis connect the battery for long enough it will forget, the car might seem lumpy when you first start it but thats just the ECU setting its self back up, take it for a drive once its idling normal and drive how you normally do

I've been thinking of aftermarket management because its only a few more quid than a remap on ebay

It will probably help if your at stage one with a filter and straight through exhaust as the ECU might not cope but It should be ok!

It's got a dbilas inlet manifold a 4 to 1 exhaust manifold de-cat, and a k&N pannel filter/cold air feed, would that be a stage 1? I would have thought so. what would stage 2 be, cams and a remap?

Yeah thats stage one, probably do with a remap and maybe higher revs? but that involves uprated engine parts! Um stage two will be cams and remap and probs uprated engine internals because of the extra power, what engine you got?

Why not just 20xe it? Cost about the same? Its gonna cost a bomb to get good power out of a 14xe
