Is the old linkage still on the new engine Lee? If not to get it off you need to undo the clamp which holds it onto the gear selector, then pull out the 'T' clip that that goes down between the bushes on the linkage. Once you've got that out you then need to remove the split pin on the other end of the linkage where it connects to the gearbox. Its a right bugger to get off Takes some patience lol. After that you should be able to remove the linkage

Take it your going for a quickshift? Basically you just need to swap all the bits off the old linkage onto the bare new one. Which one are you looking at bud? £100 sounds very expensive. Also would highly recommend fitting some MTEC nylon bushes when you change it. You can get them off LMF and they make it all nice and tight

Yeah we're on about the same thing mate lol. A quick shift linkage will replace the whole linkage You can get a decent set up a lot cheaper than £100 though bud.

This is the what I run on mine -

with these -

Absolutely love it. The shift is about 50% shorter and its super tight now. If you've got the old one off the car you've done the hard bit already then. Its a bloody nightmare to get off in the car lol.
