Is there anywhere that I can pick one up for a realistic price? I CBA waiting to order one from Ebay.

Maplin are a joke with prices so that rules them out.

Any ideas?

You could still possibly use eBay? I just localise the results to within a 10miles radius and go and collect with cash usually.

Closest to me is Birmingham which is £10 worth of fuel for the return trip anyway. Probably more due to traffic.

I wish stores did not charge such a rip off amount for these sort of things! Maplin are charging £51 for a cable that you can get for £6 delivered on Ebay.

I just get angry at the thought of being ripped off

Anywhere like PCWorld, Curry's, Maplin, etc is going to be a complete rip off compared to ebay

when I was in pc stuff, a usb cable from the supplier was 60p. £15 in currys!

Doesnt help with this thread at all tho. We've got an electrical store in derby called Potts, has cables etc cheap in there, anything like that near you?
