I'd rub them down with ScotchBrite or similair, or with emery if you're wanting to smooth them. One or two coats of primer, same again with paint then a coat of laquer.

Stick these sorts of thread in the Help Zone if you can in future mate

make sure you use plastic primer and not normal primer. I made this mistake and had to redo half of mine

I sanded down mine with 80 grit on a DA until most of the dimples had gone, then 2 coats of high build primer and rubbed that down.
