when making a right turn the handbrake light comes on...as far as i know the actual handbrake isnt on just the light...any ideas how to fix it would be good cos its gettin annoying

even if it isnt low
top it up n see
had it happen twice
once after gettin new brakes put on
another time when the pads were low
topped fluid up n went away both times

mine wasnt low but i filled it to the max line and i dont have problems with my light comming on anymore, 4 now anyway

yep, top up ur fluid, its just the sensor placement and cornering combo that makes the car think the fluid is low....even if it don't look low...

the hand break is cable ot fluid so i dont see how illing the break fluid up will help!! its most likely the switch that the break lever touches when in the down position! eather the force on the hand break is to low to push the switch in fully or that the switch is faulty!! how many clicks do you need on your hand break befor you full stopped! should be about 3-4 clicks if you have more say 5-6 from heavy handed breaking use then there force on the swich wount be great enough as the lever is pull down by the spring in the rear drums! try getting the hand break tightened if this is the case!! its a 5 mins job! if that dont work you could just always remove the bulb

KITcorsa you seem to be confussed. the light does more than just tell you about the handbrake. It is there as a warning for low brake fluid. If it is coming on while going round corners then the fluid is moving in the resevoir just enought to make it think there isnt any in there.
Its defo fluid and not your handbrake!
