Put a thread up a while back saying im looking for a cheap laptop for around the £100 mark as its only use for internet and things like sorting the digital camera and music.

I have seen this for sale but dont really know if its worth the money, our current family one is quite dated tbh and due to moving out hopefully soon, me and the GF need to get one for ourself.

Samsung R40 15"
Intel Core 2 T5500 1.66GHZ
3GB RAM
90GB HDD
Wireless,
DVD drive
Charger and Bag
Fresh Install of Windows 7 Enterprise, office 2010 and Sophos Anti virus

£120

How does that sound

also seen a HP for sale for around the same price, similar spec
but
60GB HDD
AMD Turion x64 Processor 1.60GHZ TL-52

That Samsung laptop has a weird spec (I'd assume it would have had at least a 250GB/320GB HDD not 90GB) and I very much doubt Windows, Office and Sophos are legal installations.

Windows and Office you could buy several of the laptops at that price with what they sell for at trade price let alone retail, and Sophos is generally a business class anti virus solution not something you would normally associate with home users.

Being the suspicious soul that I am, it sounds like that laptop was nicked from somewhere.

Also - if it was genuine, I would sell that laptop for a hell of a lot more than £120!

So, essentially. He should buy it then Sam as the thief just wants rid of it, and it's a bargain?
