Right im needing some good drill bits for drilling through metal.Not any cheap shite that will just go blunt after tickling a piece of metal.
Any serious reccomendations please.
Need to be able to go through stainless steel.

Lies. My dewalt set was wank.
Bosch are shite too. Bought some cheapo ones from wickes and they were better! 
If you have an engineering supplies shop go there and spend good money on them, then you can regrind them on a bench grinder.

Think im just gonna nip it down to the local engineers and get him to do it.
Think he said the last time he drilled some locking nuts out he used HSS Cobalt drill bits.Seem cheap enough on ebay but i will prob end up messing it up.

Drilling lock nuts is a massive pain in the arse! Get someone else to ruin thier drills instead

If your going at stainless, you want to use cobalt, and take it slow.
Go to local engineering shop and buy the single sizes you need.
Plenty of drilling lube on them as you use them, otherwise your going to melt the tip.

i got a set of cobalt tipped bits, erbauer ones from screwfix. drilled through a few hardened bolts with no problems you just gotta go slow. not sure about going through a wheel bolt though would take ages!

I had a set of them erbauer ones, and the bog standard HSS ones from dormer are far better

I personally use high speed cobalt drills from Dormer.
Probably the best drills you can buy for the money.

Used alot of Dormer stuff offshore and good stuff, as said go for Cobalt drill bits and use plenty cutting compund / lube to keep it cool

Totally forgot i had made this thread.
Anyway i got 2x 5mm Cobalt HSS drill bits from ebay for less than £3.
Wee bit of grease on the tip and they went through stainless steel like a knife through butter.

Was for the kick start on my bike.

Just a 110 Xsport pit bike.Gonna sell it though and get something bigger.Probably still a pit bike but a 125 or 140.
Aye a usually just head up the bing for a blast, probably be up sometime this week if you fancy it.
Was up at Cardenden FCOMC yesterday, they had a funday thing from 8am till 6.30pm, was an awesome day like got the bug for track riding now.lol.

Al prob be up the bing at night time like usually go up about 5pm till it starts to get dark.Need to leave a bit spare time to sling the bike back in the car etc.
A just wore a pair of rigger boots up at Cardenden.Supposed to wear boots but pretty sure some1 had trainers on.lol.
