Theres nothing wrong with them, there just not necessary for an XE, only really need them when running higher power.

I'm not sure where them 2 go either though tbh.

On the side of the crossmember underneath the fillet ones



I think it all depends on the condition of your shell as I cracked a crossmember on a gsi with little over 120bhp

But at that point it wouldn't be a strengthening plate, it would be a holding together plate!

Not if it was re welded first
