Anyone know how without signing up for a site you've got to pay for?
In France for a few days with the gf while she visits some family, the weathers pants and I'm bored as hell.

Get any proxy, I've used ones from this website before;
http://www.xroxy.com/proxy-country-GB.htm
Put them in the 'proxy server' in internet settings and refresh the page.
Some are shit slow or just don't work, I managed to stream an iPlayer stream from BBC at the highest quality no problems though.
EDIT: For the sake of a couple quid (£5 max) you might as well pay for a VPN that'll carry decent speeds and be reliable. Can even get 1-5 day trials for $2-5

Without going into too much detail, you can route all your traffic through a VPN, so all you're ISP thinks you're doing is sending/receiving data to the VPN, in actual fact you're browsing the web as usual.
With iPlayer you need to be in the UK to watch TV streams (radio are exempt), so you get a VPN located in the UK so when you visit iPlayer it thinks you're in the UK (as it thinks it's talking to the VPN, not you).
Same with tvcatchup and the rest. Can even get USA ones for the USA equivalents of iPlayer, 4od etc
