Iv have a good fuel corsa bs and most o them had dodgy fuel gauges, they used to flap about due til hills ha ha, but my sport I have now sometimes just stops workin completely then slowly creeps back up but it's just stopped completely now, I have 30 ltrs in it but it's sittin on the red, what's wrong? 
No my fuel lines r fine and so is my tank before we get any smart comments... Lol

Had it before when i had a b and it was the connections at the back of the clocks, have you tried wiggling/pushing them in to see if it works.
If it's not the clocks next probable cause will be fuel sender.
