hi guys, was driving today coming up to a roundabout and all of sudden the car just lost power and died, under inspection of the cam belt looked fined, once i taken it completely off i have 13 teath missing, these teath was on the crank so it was just spinning
trying to get away with a lucky 1 here
as the belt did not snap is there any chance i can change the belt time the engine back up and she will fire up??
any advice would be great, never had teath go before, i normally end up with bent valves
thanks

99% of the time, these don't bend valves so you're alright there.
Whack a new belt on it and it should fire straight back up
Id be a little concerned as to why it stripped teeth. If it doesn't fire back up with a new belt, check the cam isn't worn and the lug on the cam pulley is still there.

It may have just got so brittle it has shredded due to it's age.
If it lost tension, a loose belt will wear quickly aswell.
