Is anyone else radio reception shocking in their corsa b?
I've tried 3 different stereo's
Replaced aerial link from passenger footwell to stereo
Tried 12v aerial amplifier/booster
The remote lead is connected to black & white wire before anyone says.
My radio is still pants!! Only thing I can think of now is to change the whole lot (aerial wise)?

Yep, my corsa also has very shite reception and it's not my area because in my dads toyoya hi-ace, the reception is fine. I think some part of the technology the corsa uses is inferior to modern cars. Perhaps the ariel itself or the wiring from ariel to head unit.
Have you tried an aftermarket ariel?

I get a good signal in mine, the only time it went poor is when I added a bee sting aerial

Do you have an aftermarket stereo?
If you do the aerial amp won't be getting powered any more, causing the reception problem.

Yes it's aftermarket stereo and the black/white wire is connected to the blue/wire from headunit which i presume is correct for turning on the aerial amplifier.

I said I think, it was an opinion.
Also modern cars have built-in stereos that most likely haven't been altered, older cars have aftermarket stereos, modern cars have original ariels and loom.
It just goes without saying that modern technology is usually better than older technology and seeing as how my dads 05 plate van gets a very good signal all of the time and my 00 plate corsa does not, I assumed that.
Also whenever I sit passenger in new cars, there's never an issue with radio reception.

My radio has never worked since I've had it. I've cut the wire and took aerial out.

I pinched an aerial off of a mate's articulated lorry that was going for scrap, about 4ft long but I cut it in half & put in a blaupunkt radio unit in. Reception is unreal, even considering the radio in my bedroom struggles to get signal where I am.
