Got a seat Leon tdi thats in limp mode, plenty of power when just started but then theres a sudden loss of power. Whats the most likely cause?

When giving it some beans, once it hits about 3500rpm theres just a sudden loss of power, but if I knock it off and start it again all the powers back for a small amount of time

Boost Pressure Valve? The N95/N97 IIRC.

It could be anything I suppose, going to have to get someone to put it on the computer for me.
Just thought maybe there was something that was almost always the cause.

Haven't bought it yet Got a loan of it for a few days as I'm considering buying it, can't be nothing to serious as the turbo etc is fine when just started

is there any engine managment light on? could be a boosting problem? or a n75 valve, could try pluging it into vag com and see if anythung comes up

The bulb is either done or more than likely been removed so I'd say the EML is probably on. Don't want to pay for a diagnostics though as I'm only testing it , think I'll just give it a miss, don't want to be buying another load of trouble!

Could be the vnt in the turbo, will log an overboost fault probably. Variable Nozzle Turbo and the vanes get choked up.
Some spray mr muscle in the inlet, some use the innotec cleaner that you put in through the exhaust or just avoid it
