There not mounted wrong... Aiden don't have the same hits of black plastic preventing his from closing... It ain't how they are montued it's the black pals give preventing it from shutting down because the brackets slant in towards the engine bay... God it's like talking to a brick wall here... Fuck it ill tiptoe plastics out and then it will shut..job done ain't it

the plastics are standard on any corsa. How can it be like talking to a brick wall when about 6 people have told you how to fit them and you're still doing it wrong.

i would also say that due to your first efforts at fitting them incorrectly it is possible that you have bent the bonnet hinges when you have forced the plates to fit so could be a factor on why they dont close properly. try taking everything off and return it to standard if it doesnt close you know you have fucked them

Well please explain then because I really don't get how...
I've holed the top holes to the bonnet with the standard bolts
I've bolted the two bottom holes to the bracket with 10mil bolts that are 20mil long
And it won't shut down, I ain't forced it and I ain't broken or bent anything...from what I can see its sitting on top of the plastics and they are stopping it from closing

all the plates do is raise your bonnet they will not affect the operation on the bonnet hinges in anyway if fitted correctly

right ill start again. Your blue bonnet hinge is about 1cm too far forward the edge of your metal plate should be level with the edge of your blue bonnet hinge therefore your bonnet is out of line its not a case of just lining the holes up you need to leave the bolts loose and adjust them until the bonnet lines up square

It would depend on the width of the plates as to how much it will affect where your hinge moves at. If the plates are too wide, as in gap between bolt holes on bonnet and on hinge, it will pull the hinges in towards the centre more.

Mate just remove the plastic casing! It's a piece of piss. If you fit these simple brackets you shouldn't be working on a car lol
