My handbrake light keeps coming on it first started doing it when i turned left only but it keeps coming on and goin off aging when i pull up it comes on????? any ideas

break fluid is full had new rear brake pads fitted about a month ago

Oh my cars a GSI and the brake adjuster with the spring attached to the axle to compensate for a loaded car has no spring on it, its been like this since i got the car 18months ago is this dangerous

adjusted the hand brake cable i can only get two clicks could it be this, it feels like the rears aint working right and there is a rumbling noise coming from the rear it aint wheel bearings a changed them both a week ago

A handbrake cant really be dangerous.
The switch for the light is actually on the handbrake handle, under the carpet. It could be loose.

I would have thought so. The more tension there is in the spring, the more force applied to the back. So by having no spring, perhaps you are not getting enough braking pressure at the back end?

the reason the rears arent working right is cos they wont be working hardly atall. i had my spring snap on the brake bias valve and suddenly the brakes went rubbish.
check your front brake pads, also check the fluid level anyway, you may have a leak somewhere.

The rear brakes are not cable operated. Only the handbrake is.

I think i've got this wrong, I know nothing about a biasing thing. LOL
