Somehow managed to get some overspray on my car even though I taped up half the car, anyone know the best method of removing tinting spray and overspray from paintwork?

Probably gonna use a clay bar for removing the overspray but stuck between Meguiars and Bilt Hamber, or a better alternative that people recommend

Extra: Been told that to remove heavy overspray/tinting spray on paintwork it's best to use (dishwasher) detergent as a lubricant while using the clay bar. Anyone have any opinions on this?

Cheers!

Not a good idea, if the cars been painted before it's going to fuck things up

I'm gonna use sparingly and only dab onto the affected areas, already tried white spirit but no luck

I intend to fix up and respray some parts on the car so if I do remove more than than the tinting spray with the paint thinner etc. it wouldn't be too much of a problem

Found that for getting rid of overspray on paintwork that a dab of nail polish remover (with acetone) on a cotton bud works wonders
