A few months back my connect blowers stopped working, only worked on setting 4 and was freezing cold air. Just replaced the resister and no blowers are fine but it's still freezing cold? I bypassed my egr cooler aswell if that makes any difference?

Any ideas?

Cheers

First thing to take note of is whether or not the temp gauge is behaving normally, is it actually getting to normal working temp? If not, you're probably looking at a thermostat issue.

More likely though is possibly an airlock from bypassing the egr cooler. If so, it's usually remedied by turning the heater to hot, fill up the expansion tank and leave it running with the lid off for 15-20 minutes. It usually works it's way out. Just keep checking every so often to see if there's any hot air coming through.

Check both pipes going in and out of the heather matrix are hot, if only one is then thats blocked.

Do these not have a electronic heater control valve?

I would guess HCV has failed, with the engine hot, find the pipes leading in to the bulkhead and see what you have.

Cold downstream of the valve indicates its not opening. Take the plug off and you'll have a read or not depending where the temp control is, if that's operating normally then renew the valve.

If there's no power there then it may also be that the switch panel has failed.
