The WP EVO-Engine conversion is for the user who demands the maximum power from their C20LET. This upgrade is carried out on the user’s own block by us at our premises in Scotland. Blocks are pressure tested, crank checked and balanced and on completion it is washed and tested on our dynamometer. The power capability on this engine is around the 475BHP. A list of parts and modifications is listed below:
* Re-bore (advised) (0.5 or 1mm oversize) - £117.50
* Skim top of block - £59
* Supply and fit oil spray nozzles for piston cooling - £289
* Big end bearing shells - £35
* Modified main bearing shells - £79
* Arrow Steel con-rods (fitted with ARP rod bolts - £775
* Forged Low compression pistons in either 86/86.5/87mm sizes - £499
* Labour to strip, build and test block - £350
* Steel head gasket - £39
* New Oil pump - £125
* New Water Pump - £39
* Insured Carriage (including pick up and return of block) - £56.50
Total kit price £2463.
Extra’s:
* Cylinder Head studs £25 (set of 10)
* Head Stud conversion set - £135
* Complete gasket set (excluding steel head gasket)- £65
* Steel Gear (inner) for oil pump - £105.75
* Nylon pressure release valve - £53.46
* Lambda Sensor (genuine bosch) - £79
But, been speaking to the guy @ wallace, and whats not listed on there is the cost of a replacement turbo (K26), aswell as other bits & bobs, which I reckon will come near the £7k mark... Just a mad idea, reckon for 'supposed' 475bhp £7k is worth it if its within the budget??

Christ, thats a bit of a shopping list!
Would be damn impressive to see, although I'd imagine something would have to be done to at least try and get some traction!

4WD should do the trick!
thats the original plan anyway, cut out the rear floorplan, weld in the floorplan from a cally turbo & strengthen the chassis & other bits, full roll cage, few more trick & an LET - 4WD
but if there is money left over & its enough to do the above to the LET, just wonderin if it would be worth it

What management does that use?
That just sounds like the P4 engine spec which is 370bhp. There isn't even any headwork in there.
You sure thats not just P4 which Wallace sell?

i know its what I was thinking, but there is alot of work that isnt listed within that list that they said about when I rang them which takes the price up further - I'll email them later & get a complete list of what is done to the engine & parts used, not sure what management they use though

phase 4 is the highest on sale at the moment. You cant get 2.2 out of these blocks, especially not on a highly tuned turbo.
Proper engine management is the way forward.
Im sure thats going to be phase 4, and someone has accidently put in a 4 instead of a 3.

How reliable is that set-up, and can it be run in FWD form?

You make it sound so simple
475bhp you say, that'll give you 25hp more than my brothers when we finish it.
Work in progress
