basically any conversion has to get an engineers report, but that depends on the insurers.
I had to get an engineers report when i changed my old renault 5 into a 1700 diesel.
Knobbers.

i was asked by CIS for one when considering the a transplant on my corsa
They said the insurance would be void after the conversion, unless they had an engineers report before i took it on the road.
My brothers insurance firm didnt careless when he dropped a nova into his Valver
