has any1 put twin 40's on a 1.4 8valve corsa b? how much work is involved doin it and wot parts are needed

imagine its possible, would probably need to get an adaption plate from an early nova 1.4

inlet manifold sud b the same as nova. my main concern is the injection loom wiring as obviously it wont be needed,but will still have to keep the electronic ignition cuz of crank sensor.

Get a manifold off a Nova 1.4 or Astra 1.4 (90-91) get with it the Pierburg 2e3 carb take the carb chuck it in a skip, get a Weber 32/34 dmtl bolts straight on and you can remove the over-run butterfly and solder it up, use a k&n on top. That used to give a 1.4 SR about 12 bhp.

I fitted sport carbs (twin 40's on Irmscher manifold) with ITG foam filter and that made a 1.3 SR go from nippy to pretty quick, but my mates 1.4 SR with a DMTL and just a single twin choke would get me on top end power.

Having said that removing the injection and stuff on a Corsa, thats gonna lead to probs with the ECU innit.

Why would you want carbs on your car, go for the throttle bodies instead
