right i got a
...custom powerflow backbox with 2x 4.5" slash cut tailpipes
...a BFO cone
...and ive had the centre silencer removed and replaced with a straight thru pipe

but its tooo loud !!!
but b4 i had the silencer taken out it wern't loud enuf

how can i sorta get it louder then b4..but not as loud as now ???

No idea, i'd pay between 50-100quid, any more than that i'd jus put up with the noise... lol

can the police actually tell you off? is there a limit as to how loud an exhaust can be?

Yeah, got a table in bike mag somewhere of legal limits... different for cars/bikes/pcv's etc...

do you think powerflow would know these limits? i am taking my car there soon for a full system, i want it loud but i want it to be legal....but only just

I just had my Centre section removed and its LOUD too. But TBH Chris yours was quite loud with the backbox alone, whereas mine wasn't. But i'd try taking the induction kit off for a start, back with the normal airbox

Drive buy limit for cars is 74db, vans is 77db and for bikes 80db

Mag says 40 a library, 70 is typical vacuum cleaner, 90 is a shouted conversation and 120 a chainsaw... lol

They are no written limits on noise the police can use. This means if the officer says you're too loud, your too loud, but it's not a road traffic offence, it's a civil order one, erm, drupting the peace type thing. The only limitI'm aware of is for the SVA test for kit cars etc... which is 105dB@1m from the tail pipe, and at 45degrees, @4500rpm. But the point being, they can't really tell you to change it.
Just go to your local SVA centre, and ask for it to be tested, then a letter from them to ream in police's faces is good, shuts them up I can tell you. Hope this helps.

yeah il try wiv the induction kit off

but the only airbox i got is a drilled 1 .....so it probz wont make any difference

if its droning to much inside the car just get a load of that brown bread stuff should quite it down a bit. if its to load outside the car yer gonna have to think of another system of sum sort.

take it back to powerflow and say u aint happy they can play with the boxes and the baffles to make it quiter or louder to suit you...but i woukdnt personally go to powerflow
