Put my wipers on earlier, heard a small pop and they stopped working. Replaced the fuse, and as soon as i turned the ignition on, the fuse went again, even though the wipers werent in use. Anyone got any idea what might cause this?

reverse light has gone, but i doubt they are related. Any other ideas? I replaced the 30amp fuse with a 25amp one as thats the biggest the garage had, but surely that wouldnt matter if the wipers were off anyway? (Unless they were trying to return to their rest position, in which case, do they wipers really draw enough current to blow a 25 amp fuse as opposed to the standard 30?)

sounds like your wiper motor is dead, thats what is causing your fuses to blow, get a new wiper motor and replace the fuse, Job Done!
Reverse light sounds like a bulb
